Does my item have to be manufactured?
The item you submit for a product evaluation should be a manufactured item or, at the very least, a working prototype.
Will QVC help me manufacture my product or idea?
As a general practice QVC does not assist inventors and entrepreneurs with manufacturing. If you are starting a business or need business advice go to the “Resources for Entrepreneurs” page on the web site for helpful suggestions,
Is there a fee?
QVC does not charge for a product evaluation nor does it sell its airtime.
Is there a minimum quantity of product that QVC buys?
A minimum purchase order is typically $30,000-$35,000 per item at wholesale cost, e.g. if the cost of goods is $30 per item, divide the total minimum purchase order amount by $30 to determine the quantity ($30,000/$30=1,000units). The entire purchase order quantity must be received in QVC’s warehouse before it can be available to sell on-air.
May I speak with a buyer to discuss my product?
Due to the volume of product submissions, we must ask you to follow QVC’s product submittal process as a first step. Speaking with a buyer will not expedite the decision-making process. To access the QVC application process for submitting an item for evaluation, click on the link at the bottom of the page.
Does QVC sell cause-related merchandise?
At times, QVC sells cause-related merchandise where a donation is made to a specific charity. As with any product QVC sells, the cause-related product must have general appeal and salability. If QVC is interested, the product will be evaluated using QVC’s normal evaluation procedures and then scrutinized against QVC’s guidelines on cause related marketing.
Application Process
I have more than one item. Should I submit an application for each?
Only one application per company is necessary. You will receive an e-mail requesting images of your product. Please reply to the e-mail, attaching the images for all the products you wish to submit and send the e-mail back to QVC. Be sure to include a price sheet if you have multiple items for review.
How can I have my product reviewed by QVC and how long will the review process take?
The first step in the product review process is to complete the QVC product submission form. To access the form, click on the link at the bottom of the page. Vendor Relations will contact you via e-mail in approximately 4 to 6 weeks from the time your form is received to inform you of QVC’s level of interest in your product.
Should I mail QVC a product sample?
QVC prefers that you do not send unsolicited product samples. If QVC requests a sample, please enclose a copy of your product submission including the submittal number. Do not send any materials that cannot be replaced for example an original prototype or mold. QVC accepts no responsibility or liability for the safe arrival, handling or return of any submitted materials. QVC does not return unsolicited product samples.
How do I know if my application was successfully submitted?
You will receive an e-mail the same day you send your product submission. The e-mail contains a product submission number and a request that you attach and return an image of your product. Please see the example e-mail letter below.
Dear Vendor:
Your product submission has been successfully received.
Submission Number: XXXXX
Product Name: XXXXX
Product Submission: XXXXX
The next step is to supply a digital image of your product by replying to this e-mail and attaching the image. The only acceptable file formats are .jpg, .gif, and PDF.
In order for us to properly evaluate your submission, you must provide a digital image. When sending your digital image please note your product submission number in the subject field of the submission, you must include this information on any future correspondence regarding your submission. Any submission not accompanied by a digital image will forfeit product evaluation.
After receipt of your digital image, QVC's Product Search team will assess your product's relevance to QVC's current merchandising strategies.
This process may take up to six weeks. Upon completion, you will receive an e-mail whether or not QVC is interested in having further discussion with you about your product.
Note your submission number above. You MUST include this information in the subject field of your e-mail.
Thank you,

What factors should I keep in mind when calculating my cost to QVC?
As the vendor, you determine the cost of goods to QVC based on the charges you incur in manufacturing, packaging and shipping your products to the QVC warehouse. QVC warehouses are located in the Eastern region of the United States. Since the address to which you will be shipping is not determined until a purchase order is issued, we cannot provide you with a specific address at this stage of the process.
May I have access to QVC’s shipping & product requirements?
Once QVC has made the decision to move forward with your product, we will provide you with access to our Quality Assurance, Packaging and Labeling Guidelines. We do not release this information until it is determined that QVC is interested in your product.
